Standing in front of shop wide shelf teaming with snack bars, I need to buy enough snack bars to last five weeks. There were three key things I was specifically looking for in a snack bar:
1. Good Nutritional Value 2. High Energy content 3. Yummyness
Whist scrutinising each label of every snack bar I wasn't finding the product I was looking for. They were either low in calories, crazy high in sugar or just pain cardboard looking.
Then one lady came over grabbed a box of 9bars and said "Oh, these are so delicious, I love to indulge in a healthy treat after gym."
I picked up a bar and read the ingredients, she was right.
224 calories per bar top trumped all others on the shelf. I was going to need high calories in a compact form and these would be perfect. Something I could eat on the go and store in a Bouyency aid pocket for easy access.
Made of a combination on mixed seeds and a yummy dark chocolate topping, it would be far better for me than a mars bar, but would still have the motivating properties of chocolate. The seeds are better at releasing energy slowly, this means you don't get the sharp high and dramatic lows that a sugary chocolate treat will provide.
Just by luck I found these super tasty energy boosting treats. I took over 50 to patagonia and loved eating every single one.
I can recommend these seedy goodness bars as a great snack when in the outdoors. I was even happier when I discovered their huge range of different bars online.
